Erik Patton joined MoMA in 2008 and is the Director of Exhibition Planning and Administration, an area responsible for producing (e.g., timelines, contracts, budgets, insurance, etc.) MoMA’s annual on- and off-site exhibition program. Prior to joining MoMA’s exhibitions team, Patton worked in MoMA’s Finance and Strategic Planning Office from 2008 to 2012. He is currently a member of the International Exhibition Organizers (IEO) and the American Exhibition Organizers (AEO) groups. Before joining MoMA, he worked in investment banking and private equity. He holds a BA from Harvard College and an MFA from Hunter College, City University of New York, and was a resident at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. Patton is also a visual artist.
