- Curatorial Remarks:
- The MoMA Conservation department has confirmed that the black marks seen at the tips of the leaves and stem of the plant were made with the moistened tip of a watercolor pencil.
- Other Remarks:
- According to the Louise Bourgeois Studio, a second drawn version of this composition (seen below in Related Works in Other Mediums) was made for the Anthology Film Archives's "Fall 2004 Film Calendar." It was featured as the cover of the calendar; Bourgeois did not contribute any content within its pages.
