- Curatorial Remarks:
- The logo at the bottom of this work is that of the French department store, Le Bon Marché. This selvage marking was printed on their bolts of fabric sold by length. Bourgeois owned the original fabric and Solo Impression later reproduced the logo as seen here. The drawing, "Medical Plate," included in the Related Works in Other Mediums below, was drawn on fabric from the same bolt.
The medium of the hand additions is not documented because this work is not in MoMA's collection and could not be examined in person.
