Thomas’s abstract paintings, like Fiery Sunset, often depict the sky and celestial bodies using her trademark streaks of color and thick brushstrokes. Jafa’s inclusion of Fiery Sunset reflects his interest in cosmological imagery, which he describes as portraying "individual entities” or “clustered groups,” depending on the perspective of the viewer.
