Digital print
In this unconventional “self-portrait,” the artist narrates the impact of her life experiences through the marks they left on her skin and internal organs. Scars, dental implants, lipstick colors, vaccinations, and the effects of pregnancy and childbirth are meticulously traced onto a technical drawing, produced as vector graphics on a computer and printed on mylar paper. “This piece imagines how I would look if I were to redraw myself and transfer it into a diagram,” says An. “I tried to convey my own story.”
