Geoffrey Hendricks grew up in Vermont, where it’s easy to find a wide-open view of the sky. When he moved to New York City, which is full of tall buildings, he missed seeing that endless sky. He began painting white clouds and blue sky on everything, even on objects he found in the street, like this wooden shipping crate. Think of something in nature that you love—maybe flowers, trees, or the beach. What would you create to capture it?
