Mondays with MoMA are activities for primary and secondary students. Each lesson is inspired by an object in MoMA’s collection, and includes information about the artist or artwork, questions that encourage close looking, and a suggested activity.

These lessons—which can be used by themselves or incorporated into a larger unit of study—can be facilitated by a teacher, shared with parents, or followed by a student independently.

The following lessons, inspired by the exhibition Emerging Ecologies: Rise of Environmentalism, are available to download.

Phyllis Birkby: Design a fantasy environment
Wolf Hilbertz: Buildings inspired by natural materials
Ant Farm: Design a structure for animals
Malcolm Wells: Design an underground building
