Life is an experience we share with all beings, animals, plants, and even objects and materials. How does life manifest in design and art? How can we cultivate new behaviors to successfully coexist with natural systems as well as human-centered technologies—all amid a backdrop of disorientation and profound hope?
Join senior curator Paola Antonelli, designer and computer scientist Skylar Tibbits, and experimental artist and technologist Ani Liu for a live discussion about how materials and objects play a crucial part in designing new, positive behaviors for us all. This event is in conjunction with the exhibition Life Cycles: The Materials of Contemporary Design.
Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the program will begin at 6:30 p.m. Please enter through the Lewis B. and Dorothy Cullman Education and Research Building at 4 West 54th Street. Advance registration is required and capacity is limited; reservation admits two and is nontransferable.
