Join us for a member-only screening of a new hybrid documentary based on the true story of Scottish scammer Brandon Lee. In 1993, Brandon enrolled in secondary school in the suburbs of Glasgow. He seemed a little different from the other 16-year-olds: wiser, more worldly...and more in need of a shave. Eventually people started to discover that Brandon—a bright student with a promising future—was not who they thought he was. Directed by Jono McLeod, one of Lee’s former classmates, My Old School features a memorable performance from Alan Cumming, wonderful animation, and a cast of famous voices. This screening will be followed by a live Q&A with the director.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the screening will begin at 7:30 p.m. Please enter through the Ronald S. and Jo Carole Lauder Building entrance at 11 West 53 Street. Advance registration is required and capacity is limited; reservation admits two and is nontransferable.
