The era of self-love demanded an epic work of cinema dedicated to twincest, and who better to deliver it than auteur-provocateur Bruce LaBruce? By turns sensual and sad, lustful and longing, Saint Narcisse is an intricately hypnotic, rigorously queer melodrama. With a breakout dual-lead performance by newcomer Felix-Antoine Duval and an exquisitely rendered early-1970s setting, this is a film for those who aren’t afraid to peer longingly into their reflection in the water...and then dive in.
