It took Academy Award winner Paolo Sorrentino (The Great Beauty) more than three decades to be ready to share a personal tragedy that has shaped his life and provided him with the insight to appreciate the joy, beauty, pain, and messiness of life. At the age of 16, a traumatic event of catastrophic proportions befell Sorrentino's family while he was cheering for his local soccer team, led by the great Diego Maradona. Sorrentino returns to 1980s Naples and channels that life-altering experience into a coming-of-age tale about loss and discovery. Euphoria and despair go hand-in-hand in this heartfelt remembrance of Naples, youth, and adventure. Winner of the Grand Jury Prize at the Venice Film Festival
