Based on the novel by Nelson Algren, this drama stars Frank Sinatra as Frankie Machine, expert card dealer. Recently released from prison, Frankie is determined to set his life in order, while his wife and card sharks try to pull him down. Screening will be followed by a conversation with Anne Morra, Associate Curator, Department of Film.
