The disk rests on a vertically oriented walnut base, a single piece of wood along which shallow chisel marks create a textured surface. The base is thickest at the top and bottom and narrows, curving slightly across the central section.

Join us for MoMA’s virtual program welcoming individuals who are blind or have low vision and their guests to participate in an online discussion. Educators highlight specific themes, artists, or exhibitions through verbal description and discussion using the Zoom platform.

In December, we will explore Brancusi: The Artist and His Studio. The exhibition surveys Constantin Brancusi’s sculptural achievements through the lens of his Paris studio. The presentation, spanning the Museum’s entire sixth floor, will offer a once-in-a-generation opportunity to engage with rarely lent sculptures, along with Brancusi’s hand-carved furniture and bases, films, photographs, tools, and archival materials from Centre Pompidou’s Atelier Brancusi.
