Midtown Manhattan is a veritable laboratory of modern architecture, a gridded matrix of design experiments, iconic masterpieces, and everyday spaces. Starting at MoMA, this walking tour explores the development of modern and contemporary architecture through new building types and materials, avant-garde aesthetics, and the social politics driving such innovations.
Tour meets in lobby of The Lewis B. and Dorothy Cullman Education and Research Building. Stools will be provided.
*Rain date: Monday, June 29, 10:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
