Join us for a private viewing of Gallery 216: Down to Earth, showcasing design projects that intervene in and challenge our relationship with the planet’s “critical zone”—the few kilometers above and below our feet, where most life occurs. Explore the interconnection between architecture and Earth’s structure, climate change and the built environment, and human and nonhuman life. Then, enjoy a facilitated in-gallery discussion with MoMA curatorial associate Paula Vilaplana de Miguel and Andrés Jaque, architect, writer, curator, and dean of Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, whose work is featured in the gallery.
