In an age when much of our correspondence is digital, taking time to write a letter, whether to yourself or to others, can be a compassionate gesture. Crafting a letter is an art—from reflecting on its content to decorating the envelope—and can be as joyful as receiving one. In this well-being workshop, we invite you to explore how letter writing can build empathy and encourage connection with yourself.
This program will take inspiration from the artists in Gallery 404: Calligraphic Abstraction. Participants will spend time writing letters guided by prompts that focus on language, human touch, and drawn details and embellishments.
Looking for more opportunities to nurture your well-being this winter? As a member, you get access to our new course, Artful Practices for Well-Being, on Coursera. Let art guide you with ideas, practices, and activities that can support your well-being.
